Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto is considering changing his sporting nationality.

A significant step toward joining the “Squadra Azzurra” was Alberto obtaining Italian citizenship, which he officially secured at the start of this year.
There are no legal barriers preventing his call-up to the Italy national team. Though Yuri played for Brazil’s youth squads and made one friendly appearance for the senior team in 2023, FIFA rules permit him to switch countries since that match was not in a competitive context.
