Antoine Semenyo has completed his last game for Bournemouth before his move to Manchester City in January, confirmed by Andoni Iraola on Wednesday night.
The winger made a memorable exit by scoring a brilliant late goal to secure a 3-2 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at Dean Court, coinciding with his 26th birthday.
Bournemouth fans applauded Semenyo with a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 100th minute, ahead of his £65 million transfer to City.

When asked if that was the Ghana international’s final game for the club, Iraola replied to BBC Match of the Day: “I believe so; unfortunately for us, I think it was.”
“He has been, if not the best, one of the best I’ve coached. He has improved every season. He scored 10 goals in just half a season without being a striker.”
“It’s not only about the goals; he offers physicality, aerial ability, and defensive skills. He will be greatly missed.”
Iraola also mentioned to Sky Sports that the transfer deal with City is nearly finalized. “There are medicals and formalities to complete. I don’t want to lose him, but I believe these are his final moments with us.”
Before the match, Iraola stated there would be no further departures from Bournemouth and expressed hope for new signings.
“We have a thin squad,” he told Sky Sports. “If Antoine leaves, he’ll definitely be the last one out. We need signings to come in.”
“The club is working hard; it’s challenging to make transfers in the winter market. No one wants to lose quality players, but we definitely need reinforcements, and I know the club is on it.”
