Oliver Glasner believes Marc Guehi will stay at Crystal Palace despite interest from Liverpool and Manchester City in the January transfer window.

The centre-back is in the final six months of his contract and can leave for free at the end of the season. Liverpool is still keen on signing him, while City may make a move after Josko Gvardiol’s injury.

Neither club has decided on a bid for Guehi, but Glasner feels the defender will finish the season with Palace.

“I think Marc will stay unless he says ‘I want to leave’ and a club offers a big sum – with only five months left on his contract, players often move on from clubs like Crystal Palace,” the Austrian told Sky Sports.

“I’m confident our chairman will demand a high price for him, and then we will see. I’m not sure if Marc wishes to leave.

“Currently, his performance in training and games shows commitment, and we speak often. So, I think fans can remain calm, but anything can happen in football.”
