As the second half of January’s transfer window begins, Juventus is targeting a forward from Manchester United.

Currently sitting in fourth place in Serie A, due to their head-to-head record with AS Roma, they aim to secure a Champions League spot with new signings.

With only four points separating them from AC Milan and reigning champions Napoli, they are eager to close the gap and remain competitive for European qualification.

Juventus and Roma are now competing to sign a player from Manchester United both clubs are interested in.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus is considering Joshua Zirkzee as an option instead of Jean-Philippe Mateta, pending a successful agreement.

Zirkzee missed the squad for the Manchester Derby due to injury, suggesting he may have played his last game for the club.

While Juventus shows interest, it’s unclear how Roma will react to this development, as they have also been pursuing him.

Di Marzio noted, “It will then be necessary to understand Roma whether they will decide to try again or not after this possible inclusion of the Bianconeri.”

Joshua Zirkzee has experienced notable success in Italy and hopes to move past a challenging 18 months in Manchester.

His limited playing time has kept him off the Netherlands squad since November 2024 during the UEFA Nations League.
