Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the highest-paid athlete for the year 2025.
Now playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, he outperformed other sports icons like LeBron James, Juan Soto, and Canelo Alvarez.
The rankings were determined by adding up salaries and endorsement deals for the year.
This marks the third consecutive year Ronaldo has held this title, taking the lead from LeBron James after joining the Saudi Pro League in 2023.
His earnings for 2025 include a remarkable salary of $200 million, along with $60 million from endorsements, totaling $260 million.
Despite being 40 years old, he continues to perform at a high level and aims to lead Portugal in the upcoming World Cup.
Ronaldo has had an impressive career, playing for top clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, and consistently delivering outstanding performances.
He has scored 810 goals for clubs and 143 for his national team.
His move to Al-Nassr surprised many when he left Manchester United for the second time at the end of 2022.
Ronaldo has highlighted Saudi Arabia’s growing football scene, joining other players like Riyad Mahrez, Jhon Duran, and Neymar in the Saudi Pro League.
The total estimated value of the teams in this league is roughly $1.06 billion.
Other notable players included in the earnings report are Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane from Bayern Munich, and Lionel Messi of Inter Miami.
