Cesc Fabregas has been rumoured as one of the potential candidates to take over at Chelsea since Liam Rosenior’s sacking.
The former Blue is currently excelling at Serie A side Como, who are fighting for Champions League qualification in their second season in the top tier.
Como president Mirwan Suwarso even suggested that he would not close the door to Chelsea’s approach if Fabregas expresses his desire to go.
“If that makes him happy, that’s him,” Suwarso told City AM.
“You want your employees to stay with you for as long as possible but at the end of the day we don’t own him and he’s free to go to Chelsea if he wishes.”
However, Fabregas himself insists that he is only thinking about staying at Como for now.
“Nothing to say about that, it’d be stupid to think about that now,” said the 38-year-old, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“I didn’t even see any quote from our president. I believe I will continue my chapter as Como head coach.”
