Ghana has been selected to host the 2027 edition of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, marking a significant milestone as it will be the first time in nearly three decades that the country will welcome this tournament.
The announcement was officially made by the Confederation of African Football and confirmed by Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association. The last time Ghana hosted the event was in 1999, when it was known as the African Youth Championship.
Nearly thirty years later, the nation known for its football prowess, including the Black Stars, is set to showcase its ability to host international competitions once again.
