The U20 Lionesses continue their preparations for the final round of African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in Poland. The team is ramping up its efforts following a challenging start to their friendly matches.

After suffering a defeat in their first friendly last week, Cameroon’s Under-20 women’s team has rebounded with a convincing win. Under the guidance of Coach Hassan Balla, the team triumphed against the U17 boys from the Abou Academy.

Played at the Ngoa-Ekele Military Stadium, the match concluded with a score of three goals to one in favor of the Lionesses. Goals were scored by Elong Ngofanke, Ottou Elisabeth, and Lena Nyangono, marking a positive turnaround for the team ahead of the qualifiers.

In the upcoming final round of qualifiers, Cameroon’s Under-20 women’s team is set to face Tanzania.
