Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy is facing a significant injury setback, but recent updates indicate that the situation is not as dire as previously reported. Initial speculation suggested that Mendy could be out for a year or even considering retirement, but these claims have been clarified.

According to Romain Molina, following comprehensive medical evaluations, Mendy is expected to be sidelined for approximately four months due to a right tendon injury. The rumors surrounding his potential retirement have also been officially denied.

This season, Mendy has participated in only nine matches and has not registered any goals or assists.
