Bayern Munich has expressed high regard for the achievements of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. The club is set to officially announce a contract extension for the veteran player.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, referencing BILD, reports that Bayern has reached an agreement with Neuer, 40, to extend his contract. The new deal is expected to run until the summer of 2027 and is awaiting final legal approvals from both parties before being officially announced.

Neuer, who joined Bayern in 2011 from Schalke for €30 million, has made 597 appearances for the club. Over his tenure, he has conceded 498 goals while achieving 269 clean sheets.

His current contract is set to expire at the end of the ongoing season, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €4 million.
