Aston Villa is pursuing the acquisition of Senegalese midfielder Dion Lopy this summer. The English club has identified Lopy as a key target and has already initiated discussions with UD Almeria regarding a potential transfer.
Reports from La Voz Deportes indicate that Aston Villa made an initial offer of €17 million for the midfielder. However, this proposal has been rejected by Almeria, which is firm in its stance to sell Lopy only for €20 million or more.
While Almeria is open to negotiations, they are clear on their valuation. Dion Lopy has had a productive season, contributing three goals and two assists in 26 appearances for the club in La Liga 2. His contract with Almeria is set to run until 2029.
