Senegal’s national football team is largely in good health as they prepare for their upcoming matches, with the exception of young midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, who experienced minor injuries during a recent friendly.
The Lions of Teranga faced the United States on May 31 in Charlotte, where the match ended in defeat. Despite the loss, Senegal’s manager, Pape Thiaw, confirmed that no major injuries were reported among the players. However, 18-year-old Ndiaye, making his debut, suffered from cramps during the match.
Thiaw addressed the media, stating, “All the players who took part in the match came through it well, apart from Bara who suffered from cramps. Nothing serious; the medical staff will look after him.”
Looking ahead, Senegal is set to play a second friendly match against Saudi Arabia on June 10, prior to launching their campaign at the World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
