Kalidou Koulibaly, captain of the Lions of Teranga, has returned to training just days before the World Cup begins. The tournament, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is set to kick off this summer.

There had been concerns regarding Koulibaly’s fitness as he had not fully recovered from an injury sustained while playing for his club a few weeks ago. His status was uncertain as Senegal prepared for the prestigious event.

However, the 34-year-old defender is now on the path to recovery and has joined his national team-mates in the United States. Koulibaly has resumed training and is expected to be fit for Senegal’s opening match against France on June 16 during the World Cup.
