Argentina’s head coach Lionel Scaloni has provided important updates on the health and recovery of star forward Lionel Messi ahead of the World Cup. Scaloni confirmed that Messi has made significant progress in his return to action.
The 48-year-old manager noted that Messi has begun partial training with the main squad, which offers considerable relief to the coaching and medical staff. Initially, there were concerns that Messi would miss the upcoming friendlies altogether due to the severity of his injury, but his recovery has surpassed expectations.
“Leo is fine, he has already started training partially with the group and is no longer working completely on his own. We’ll see if he plays tomorrow or in the next match. He’s feeling much better, and that gives us peace of mind,” Scaloni stated.
