Belgian forward Divock Origi has announced his retirement from professional football. The 31-year-old, known for his impactful performances with clubs such as Liverpool, AC Milan, Lille, and Nottingham Forest, made the declaration on his official X social media page.

In his statement, Origi reflected on his successful career, stating that he achieved everything he had dreamed of in football. He expressed a desire to focus on other pursuits beyond the game now that he considers his purpose in football fulfilled.

During his illustrious career, Origi enjoyed significant achievements, including winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool. He also represented the Belgian national team 32 times, scoring three goals.

Origi’s last club was AC Milan, from which he departed in January of this year after not featuring in a single match over the previous two seasons. In his farewell message, he expressed gratitude to God, his fans, teammates, clubs, and family for the support throughout his journey.
