Ajax Amsterdam is reportedly prioritizing the signing of Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer this summer. With his contract at Inter Milan set to expire on June 30, the 37-year-old goalie could be on the move to another European club.
Following three seasons in Italy’s Serie A, Sommer is expected to become a free agent, making him an attractive option for the Dutch professional league, Eredivisie. La Gazzetta dello Sport has indicated that Ajax is eager to secure Sommer as their first-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming season.
This interest comes on the heels of Vitezslav Jaros’s return to Liverpool at the conclusion of his loan spell. However, as of now, no official agreement has been reached regarding Sommer’s transfer. Additionally, there are currently no indications from Inter Milan about a potential contract extension for the player.
