Italian football club Atalanta has officially announced the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach. The announcement was made today on the club’s official social media account on platform X.
Sarri, 67, has signed a contract with Atalanta that will keep him at the club until 2029, with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros. He takes over from Raffaele Palladino, who parted ways with the team just a week prior.
Before joining Atalanta, Sarri managed Lazio, where he served from 2021 until May of this year, excluding a one-season break. Under his leadership last season, Atalanta secured 7th place in Serie A, qualifying for the Conference League qualifiers.
