Senegalese forward Issa Soumare is poised to make a move to France’s Ligue 1 on a free transfer. The player had garnered interest from clubs such as Feyenoord and Schalke 04, but ultimately chose to join Stade Rennais.
According to reports in the French press, the 25-year-old winger will officially join Rennais, as his contract with Le Havre AC is set to expire on June 30.
During his last season with Le Havre in Ligue 1, Soumare had an impressive performance, netting 8 goals and providing 5 assists over 34 appearances.
