Manchester United has decisively ruled out the possibility of negotiating a new loan deal with Barcelona for striker Marcus Rashford. The Catalan club previously allowed the €30 million buyout option for the 28-year-old England international to lapse. While Barcelona executives were open to discussing another temporary agreement, United’s management has now made clear that this option is not on the table.

Details: According to Transfer News Live, citing ESPN, Manchester United is insisting on a permanent transfer for Rashford and will not entertain another loan arrangement.

In preparation for a potential sale, the English club has begun working with football intermediaries and agents to identify potential buyers and collect official offers for Rashford from other clubs. The move appears to be part of a strategy to reduce the wage bill and gather funds for the summer transfer window.
