Fenerbahçe has officially confirmed the signing of Mallorca’s forward, Vedat Muriqi. The 32-year-old striker from the Kosovo national team has inked a three-year deal with the Turkish side, with reports indicating that the transfer fee is set at €15 million.
This move marks a return for Muriqi, who was part of Fenerbahçe during the 2019/20 season. He emerged as one of the key targets for the club’s new president, Aziz Yıldırım.
In the previous season, Muriqi had a remarkable run with Mallorca, featuring in 37 matches, where he scored 23 goals and provided one assist. His performance also earned him the distinction of finishing second in the La Liga top scorer race, only behind Kylian Mbappé.
Fenerbahçe concluded the last season as runners-up in the Turkish Süper Lig and is set to compete in the Champions League qualifiers.
