The organizational and visa issues surrounding the 2026 World Cup continue to create significant challenges for participants. Some individuals are adapting to the situation in unexpected yet commendable ways.
Details: Romain Molino, the photographer for the Senegal national team, reported that Sidi Tallah was unable to accompany the squad to Canada for an important match against Iraq due to a denial of a multiple-entry U.S. visa. This left Tallah effectively “trapped” on U.S. soil, preventing him from crossing into Canada to rejoin the team.
Demonstrating remarkable dedication, Tallah wore his official FIFA accreditation bib in his hotel room and set up his professional camera gear to photograph the match by capturing the live action from his television screen.
It is noteworthy that Senegal achieved a commanding 5-0 victory against Iraq in the match. This win also marks a historic milestone, as Senegal set an all-time African record at the World Cup.
