The captain of the Atlas Lions, Achraf Hakimi, emphasized the resilience of the Moroccan team following their final group stage match. Morocco secured a 4–2 victory against Haiti, finishing second in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite the win, the match proved to be challenging for the Atlas Lions, who found themselves trailing on two occasions before managing to turn the game around. Hakimi reflected on the obstacles they faced, acknowledging that the victory came at a cost.

“It was a tricky and challenging match for us. We didn’t start well, but we drew on our fighting spirit to turn the match around. It wasn’t an easy group; we gave it our all, but Brazil scored more goals than us. We’re proud of our run, but we’ll prepare thoroughly because the next match will be a tough one,” Hakimi stated.
