Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng is set to continue his professional football career with Valencia CF in Spain. This move comes after his departure from Al Ahly, where he played for seven seasons.
Dieng officially bid farewell to Al Ahly on June 10, expressing gratitude for the time he spent with the club. The 28-year-old midfielder noted that he has won several domestic and international titles during his tenure with the Egyptian giants.
In his farewell message, Dieng reflected on his journey, stating, “Al Ahly, the fans and Egypt have been my home for the past seven years. I arrived as a child and I am now leaving as a man, a father, a husband, and a player who has found great fulfilment on the pitch. I have lived my dreams and achieved everything I came here for. It has been an honour to wear the captain’s armband for this team.”
As he embarks on this new chapter, reports confirm that Dieng is poised to sign with Valencia CF, marking a significant transition in his football career.
