As Brazil gears up for its 2026 FIFA World Cup opener, a key issue has emerged regarding the availability of star player Neymar. Ahead of the match, head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar will not participate in the opening game.

Ancelotti emphasized that Neymar is actively engaged in his recovery process. “Neymar is working very hard to recover as quickly as possible. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to the squad next week,” the coach stated.

Previous reports indicated that Neymar had not yet resumed training with the national team and might miss the entire group stage of the tournament. Brazil will kick off their World Cup journey against Morocco on June 14, and they are also grouped with Haiti and Scotland.
