French football legend Emmanuel Petit, known for his time with the national team and Arsenal, has expressed criticism towards Real Madrid.
Details: The former player, now a pundit on the French channel RMC, directed his comments at fellow countryman Kylian Mbappe. After Real Madrid’s recent loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, Petit remarked that Mbappe’s return has created an atmosphere of “selfishness” in the team’s dressing room.
This defeat marked Real Madrid’s fourth straight match without a win since Mbappe’s comeback, resulting in three losses and one draw. The team has now exited the Champions League and trails Barcelona by nine points in La Liga.
“It’s not solely Mbappe’s fault,” said Petit. “But his arrival has filled the Real Madrid dressing room with selfishness. It’s a fiasco.”
