Arsenal are close to finalising a new long-term contract deal for their wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri who has been in fine form at the Emirates Stadium. Nwaneri has developed into a key player for Mikel Arteta amid the absence of Gunners superstar Bukayo Saka who is still working his way back to fitness following a hamstring injury.

The 18-year-old wonderkid has answered the Spanish tactician’s challenge to fill the void on the right side of Arsenal’s attack with eight goals in all competitions. A five-year deal has been prepared for the Gunners academy graduate , who turned down a number of Europe’s elite clubs in 2023 and signed a new deal with Arsenal before being promoted to the senior team at the time.

Despite Nwaneri’s high price tag, his rapid development this season has surprised Arsenal’s coaching staff. He deserves credit for proving himself worthy of playing in the Premier League.
