Arsenal is reportedly targeting one of Turkey’s top football talents, 25-year-old midfielder Barış Alper Yılmaz. The London club is poised to make an official offer to Galatasaray for the player, according to Turkish journalist Kaya Temel on his X social media page.
Yılmaz’s impressive performances this season have caught the attention of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta, who is eager to include him in the squad. The midfielder has featured in 47 matches for Galatasaray this season, netting 12 goals and assisting 15 others.
While Galatasaray is open to the transfer, the club is demanding significant compensation for their star player. Yılmaz’s contract with the Turkish giants extends until 2028, and his market value is estimated at 26 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
