A significant transfer development is unfolding in Spain’s La Liga. As reported by Diario SPORT, striker Julián Álvarez’s ongoing demands have compelled Atlético Madrid to engage in formal negotiations with Barcelona regarding his prospective transfer.
However, Atlético Madrid is adamant about not letting go of their star player for less than they deem appropriate. The club has laid out two stringent conditions for Barcelona to meet in order to facilitate the transfer.
The first requirement is a one-time payment of 150 million euros, categorically excluding any installment payments, multi-year plans, or loan agreements. Additionally, Atlético has explicitly stated that player exchanges will not be entertained, rendering any proposals involving Barcelona players as part of the deal null and void.
Currently, Julián Álvarez is representing Argentina at the World Cup, having played three matches without scoring. Transfermarkt pegs his market value at 100 million euros.
