Atlético Madrid is reportedly looking to bolster its goalkeeping department with the potential signing of 23-year-old Noah Atubolu from Freiburg.
Notable journalist Ekrem Konur has indicated on his X social media page that the Spanish club is seriously interested in the young goalkeeper. Atubolu’s impressive performances this season have attracted attention from several European clubs, including Milan, Inter, Napoli, and Liverpool, but Atlético Madrid is believed to be in the lead for his signature.
A product of the Freiburg academy, Atubolu’s upcoming transfer could represent a significant milestone in his career. This season, he has made 44 appearances, conceding 59 goals while keeping 12 clean sheets.
Atubolu’s current contract with Freiburg extends until 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €20 million.
