Catalan giants Barcelona are intensifying their pursuit of attacking reinforcements and are showing keen interest in Chelsea forward João Pedro. Reports from ESPN Brasil indicate that Barcelona representatives have already initiated preliminary discussions with the player’s camp regarding a potential transfer to Spain.

The interest in the Brazilian forward arises from Barcelona’s challenges in securing their primary target, Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid. Recognizing the difficulty in landing the Argentine, the Catalan club has pivoted to explore alternative options, placing João Pedro at the forefront of their shortlist.

However, a deal appears unlikely at this stage. The player is reportedly not prepared to engage in active negotiations, and Chelsea is anticipated to reject any formal offers for his transfer, viewing him as a pivotal element of their future plans.
