Leipzig will earn a hefty sum. According to renowned journalist and insider Florian Plettenberg, 19-year-old French center-back Joan Gadou from Salzburg is set to join Borussia Dortmund.
Reportedly, Borussia Dortmund will pay €20 million to Salzburg for Gadou, with an additional €4–6 million in bonuses. The player has already agreed to the transfer and has bid farewell to Leipzig via Instagram.

This season, Gadou has appeared in 33 matches for Salzburg across all competitions but has not contributed any goals. His contract with the club extends until 2029, and his market value is estimated at €12 million according to Transfermarkt.
