Carlo Ancelotti will continue to lead the Brazilian national football team, Seleção, following an official contract extension announcement. The 66-year-old Italian head coach’s new agreement will keep him at the helm until 2030.
The announcement was made today via the official social media page of the Brazilian national team on platform X. It has been reported that Ancelotti will also benefit from improved financial terms under the new contract.
Notably, Ancelotti’s tenure will extend beyond the upcoming World Cup, irrespective of the team’s performance in the tournament. Since taking charge in May last year, he has managed the Seleção in 10 matches, achieving 5 wins, 2 draws, and 3 defeats.
In the World Cup, Brazil is set to compete in Group C alongside Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
