Lula stressed that Neymar needs to change his approach if he wants to succeed as his career progresses.
“He can take inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Neymar is still young, and the door to the national team is open for him, but we need to know if he truly wants it. If he does, then he must act like a professional,” the president stated.
Lula made it clear that past achievements and a prominent name no longer guarantee a spot in the squad for the five-time world champions.
