The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to hold the draw for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations next Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt. The ceremony will commence at 12 pm GMT.
Scheduled to be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, the tournament will see 48 nations divided into 12 groups of four teams each during the draw on 19 May. This event marks a significant step towards the tournament’s commencement.
Following the draw, the qualifying phase will start at the end of the year. The winners of each group, along with the three best runners-up, will earn direct qualification for the tournament, which is set to take place from 19 June to 17 July 2027 in East Africa. The remaining group runners-up will compete in play-offs held over two legs to secure their spots.
