The Indomitable Lionesses, Cameroon’s women’s national football team, were set to participate in a training camp ahead of the African Women’s Nations Cup this summer.
Originally scheduled to face Morocco in an international friendly this June, the match was initially planned to take place in France before being shifted to Morocco. However, the match has now been cancelled.
Reports indicate that Moroccan authorities have imposed a ban on any matches being played on their territory during June as a health precaution. As a result, this has led to the cancellation of the scheduled fixture between Cameroon and Morocco.
In light of this development, the Indomitable Lionesses will need to adjust their plans for the international break. There are indications that another training camp is being considered to enhance their preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
