On May 24, the 2025/2026 English Premier League season concluded with Arsenal being crowned champions for the first time in 22 years. The final standings also clarified which clubs will represent England in European competitions and highlighted notable underperformers.

For the second consecutive year, England will boast five teams in the Champions League: Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Liverpool. This strong representation underlines the competitive nature of English football at the highest level.

In a historic achievement, Bournemouth has secured a spot in European competitions for the first time, entering the Europa League alongside Sunderland. Crystal Palace could also join in the Europa League if they win the Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano. In the same tournament, Brighton will represent England.

However, it was a disappointing season for Wolverhampton, Burnley, and West Ham, who have all been relegated from the Premier League. Their places in the upcoming season will be filled by Coventry, Ipswich, and Hull City.
