“The Blues” may finally bring the Mudryk saga to an end.
Everything now hinges on the CAS verdict. According to Vince, citing BBC Sport, London club Chelsea has every reason to terminate the contract with Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk once the proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) conclude.
Reports indicate that the crux of the matter is Mudryk’s anti-doping suspension, which constitutes a breach of his employment contract. If found guilty, Chelsea will be able to terminate the agreement, alleviating their financial burden.
Conversely, if Chelsea retains his contract and continues to pay his wages, they will hold the right to sell Mudryk for a transfer fee.
Currently, there is no official CAS decision regarding Mudryk’s case.
