Senegal’s goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has traveled to Saudi Arabia for medical tests following a knee injury sustained a few days ago. His condition raises concerns about his availability for Senegal’s upcoming World Cup fixture.

Senegal is set to face Belgium on July 1 in the round of 32 of the World Cup, which is currently being held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. However, as of now, there is uncertainty regarding Mendy’s participation in this crucial match.

Mendy suffered the knee injury during the second group stage match against Norway. Reports indicate that he has not yet fully recovered from the injury, prompting him to leave the Senegal camp in the United States to visit his club, Al-Ahli, in Saudi Arabia for further medical evaluations. This development casts doubt on his ability to take the field against Belgium.
