Legendary Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed confidence in his national team’s prospects for the upcoming World Cup. In a recent interview, the 41-year-old star highlighted his belief that Portugal is among the top favorites for the tournament, marking what he anticipates will be his final major competition with the national squad.

Ronaldo stated that he expects significant successes from the current generation of players. He emphasized his optimism, saying, “I feel great. Haven’t you watched the matches? We’re heading into this World Cup with high hopes. This generation will bring great victories to Portugal.”

The Portuguese national team has been placed in Group K, where they will compete against DR Congo, Uzbekistan, and Colombia. Portugal’s opening match is scheduled for June 17 against DR Congo at NRG Stadium in Houston.
