Miroslav Koubek, the head coach of Czechia, is urging organizers to close the roof of the Mercedes Benz Stadium during the team’s upcoming World Cup match against South Africa. Koubek expressed concern over the extreme heat conditions in the USA, describing them as “unbearable.”

In a statement reported by the Czech outlet Denik, Koubek emphasized the importance of having the roof closed to help alleviate heat-related issues. “It’s important that they close the roof for us against South Africa. Playing in that heat is a bit scary,” he said.

The match marks a critical encounter for both teams, as they aim for redemption after losing their opening games against Mexico and South Korea, respectively. Czechia and South Africa are both determined to secure a win to improve their chances of advancing to the next round in the Group A standings.
