Cameroon’s national football coach, David Pagou, has expressed caution regarding the team’s opponents in the upcoming tournament. Cameroon has been placed in Group G, alongside the Comoros, Namibia, and Congo. Pagou acknowledges that while the group appears evenly balanced, maintaining focus on their own performance will be crucial for success.

Pagou emphasized that no African team should be underestimated, stating, “I’d say it’s a balanced group, but whenever Cameroon has focused on itself, I think things have always gone well.” He highlighted the importance of taking each opponent seriously, noting that the dynamic within African football has changed significantly, with all teams now considered formidable.

The coach specifically pointed out Namibia’s track record against Cameroon, mentioning, “We’ve been in the same qualifying groups for three consecutive tournaments; they’re a team that’s always caused us problems.” He also acknowledged that the Republic of Congo poses considerable challenges and reinforced the need for Cameroon to concentrate on their own preparations.
