Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan has extended an official invitation to former football star Didier Drogba to take on the role of ambassador for the country in anticipation of the Africa Cup of Nations 2027.
This invitation was issued during a meeting held at the Chamwino State House in Dodoma, shortly after Drogba’s arrival in Tanzania for a scheduled visit.
During the meeting, President Samia directed the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports to work in collaboration with Drogba to support the upcoming event.
