The Houston Dynamo have signed defender Sam Vines as a free agent until 2027.

The 26-year-old left back was let go by the Colorado Rapids ahead of the 2026 season.

During his time with Colorado (2018-21, 2024-25), Vines scored three goals and provided seven assists in 116 games.

Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad stated, “Sam is a fullback who brings versatility, quality on the ball, and valuable experience in MLS, Europe, and internationally. His technical skills and game understanding align with our playing style. We are excited to welcome Sam and his wife to Houston and look forward to what he will bring this season.”
