A significant chapter in Real Madrid‘s history has come to a close as Dani Carvajal, the club’s longtime leader and vice-captain, has played his final match. The defender bid farewell to fans at the Santiago Bernabéu following the team’s 3-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao in the last game of the La Liga season.
After the match, the emotional 34-year-old delivered a heartfelt interview, expressing his deep love for Real Madrid and assuring fans that he would return to the club in the future.
“I always tried to be kind and friendly to everyone, even despite my outbursts and tantrums on the pitch… but that’s just who I am, it’s part of my character. Real Madrid is my whole life. But we will definitely see each other again in the future,” Carvajal told Fabrizio Romano.
