The Malian Football Federation has announced its search for a new head coach following the departure of Tom Saintfiet, who was let go on Wednesday, 29 April. The governing body has issued a public call for applications to fill the position.
Amid the application process, sources indicate that Fousseni Diawara, a former Mali international defender, is the leading candidate for the role. His previous coaching experience, particularly with Mali’s U23 national team and as an assistant coach for Guinea, positions him as a strong contender.
The focus now remains on Diawara as the federation seeks to secure a replacement that can lead the national team effectively into future competitions.
