Senegalese coach Habib Beye has entered a rare group of managers who have lost three times to the same opponent in a single season.
Beye’s tenure at Marseille began in February but has been challenging. On matchday 30 of the French league, his team faced another setback, losing 2-0 to Lorient.
This defeat marks Beye’s third loss to Lorient this season, a record few coaches can claim. Notably, Robert Nouzaret lost three times to Paris Saint-Germain in the 2000-2001 season, Angel Marcos fell to Lille three times in 2001-2002, and Antoine Kombouaré also suffered three defeats against PSG during the 2018-2019 season.
