Hervé Renard’s tenure as the manager of the Tunisian national football team remains in flux following the team’s turbulent start in Group F of the World Cup. Renard, who was appointed on June 16 after the dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi, is anticipated to depart from his role after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

During a press conference before Tunisia’s match against the Netherlands on the final day of the group stage, Renard hinted at the uncertainty surrounding his future. He stated that he is open to discussions about the direction of Tunisian football.

“The time will come for everyone, including the federation to take stock. I am open to any discussion and ready to listen to the plans. Tunisian football is highly respected in Africa; there have always been some very good teams. Qualifying for the World Cup three times in a row is no mean feat,” Renard remarked.
