मैनचेस्टर सिटी छोड़ेंगे बर्नार्डो सिल्वा, नौ साल के सफर का होगा समापन
मैनचेस्टर सिटी के स्टार मिडफील्डर बर्नार्डो सिल्वा इस गर्मियों में क्लब छोड़ रहे हैं। क्लब के साथ उनका नौ साल का लंबा सफर अब समाप्त होने जा रहा है।
पुर्तगाल के इस खिलाड़ी ने मैनचेस्टर सिटी की जर्सी में 20 बड़े खिताब जीतकर एक रिकॉर्ड बनाया है। इन उपलब्धियों में छह प्रीमियर लीग खिताब, एक चैंपियंस लीग और पांच काराबाओ कप शामिल हैं। इस ऐतिहासिक दौर के दौरान बर्नार्डो ने किसी भी अन्य खिलाड़ी की तुलना में सबसे ज्यादा मैच खेले हैं। वे रविवार को एतिहाद स्टेडियम में एस्टन विला के खिलाफ होने वाले अपने आखिरी मुकाबले में टीम की कप्तानी करेंगे।
अपने विदाई संदेश में बर्नार्डो ने कहा, “मैं एक मैनचेस्टर सिटी प्रशंसक के रूप में विदा ले रहा हूं। जब मैं पुर्तगाल से यहां आया था, तब मैं बेनफिका का प्रशंसक था, लेकिन अब मैं निश्चित रूप से कह सकता हूं कि इस क्लब के प्रति मेरी भावनाएं बहुत गहरी हैं। मैं जीवन भर मैनचेस्टर सिटी का समर्थन करता रहूंगा।”
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि अब युवा खिलाड़ियों के लिए आगे आने का समय है। वे अपने परिवार के करीब रहना चाहते हैं और जीवन में नई चुनौतियों का सामना करना चाहते हैं। बर्नार्डो ने पेप गार्डियोला को भी याद किया और उन्हें लंबे समय से प्रेरणा का स्रोत बताया।
Bernardo Silva is leaving Manchester City this summer after nine years at the club.
The Portuguese midfielder has won a record 20 major trophies in a City shirt, including six Premier League titles, one Champions League and five Carabao Cups.
He has played more games than anyone else during this historic period and will captain the side in his final appearance at the Etihad against Aston Villa on Sunday.
“I leave as a Man City supporter,” Bernardo said. “When I arrived from Portugal, I was a fan of Benfica, but now I can say that for sure that my feelings toward this Club are very, very strong.
“I will be supporting Man City for the rest of my life.”
He added that it is time for younger players to step up, while he wants to be closer to his family and take on a new challenge.
Bernardo also paid tribute to Pep Guardiola, describing him as a long-time inspiration.
