2026 फीफा वर्ल्ड कप में सऊदी अरब के खिलाफ अपने शुरुआती मुकाबले से ठीक पहले उरुग्वे की राष्ट्रीय टीम मुश्किलों में घिर गई है।
‘डायरियो एएस’ की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, टीम को रविवार शाम लगभग 7 बजे ईएसटी (पूर्वी मानक समय) पर फ्लाइट से देश में पहुंचना था, लेकिन उनके विमान को कैनकन एयरपोर्ट से उड़ान भरने की अनुमति नहीं मिली।
टीम निर्धारित समय सीमा से पहले मियामी नहीं पहुंच सकी, क्योंकि उनके विमान के पास अमेरिका में प्रवेश करने के लिए जरूरी दस्तावेज नहीं थे।
फीफा और उरुग्वेयन फुटबॉल फेडरेशन ने इस समस्या को सुलझाने के लिए काम शुरू कर दिया है, लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण मैच से पहले खिलाड़ी कैनकन एयरपोर्ट पर ही फंसे रह गए।
The Uruguay national team has been put in a spot of bother before their 2026 FIFA World Cup opener against Saudi Arabia.
As per Diario AS, they were supported to fly into the country on Sunday at around 7 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time), but their team plane wasn’t allowed to get off the Cancun airport.
However, they couldn’t fly into Miami before that deadline because their plane lacked the necessary documentation to enter the USA.
FIFA and the Uruguayan Football Federation started working on solving the issues, but the players were left stranded in the Cancun airport before the big game!
