जापान के डिफेंडर युटो नागाटोमो ने 2026 फीफा वर्ल्ड कप में स्वीडन के खिलाफ हुए 1-1 के ड्रॉ मुकाबले में मैदान पर उतरकर इतिहास रच दिया है।
इस मैच के साथ ही 39 वर्षीय डिफेंडर नागाटोमो ने ‘समुराई ब्लू’ के लिए अपना पांचवां वर्ल्ड कप संस्करण खेला। इसके साथ ही वे पांच अलग-अलग वर्ल्ड कप संस्करणों में खेलने वाले जापान के पहले खिलाड़ी बन गए हैं, जो उनके लिए गर्व की बात है।

Japan defender Yuto Nagatomo made some history with his appearance for them in their 1-1 draw against Sweden at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In doing so, the 39-year-old defender was able to feature in his fifth World Cup edition for the Samurai Blue.
He became the first-ever Japanese player to play in five different World Cup editions, making himself proud.
Moreover, Nagatomo is also the 10th player in history to have played in five different editions of the FIFA World Cup as well!
